TLC Marketing help large consumer brands influence purchase decisions by providing on brand rewards, to every person who engages with the promotion. We are a modern, dynamic, forward thinking, fast paced agency and are not for the faint hearted! We manage and fulfil all campaigns with our own dedicated Client Services & Customer Services team. The opportunity has arisen for us to expand our team in Milan and we are looking for a Content Marketing Manager


Position Summary

The Content Marketing Manager oversees all marketing content initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behavior. This individual is an expert in all things related to content and channel optimization, brand consistency, segmentation and localization, analytics and meaningful measurement. The position collaborates with the departments of Sales, Customer service, HR, Project management, Product, Partnership and Creativity.



  • Ultimately, the job of the Content Marketing Manager is to think like a publisher/journalist, leading the development of content initiatives in all forms to drive new and current business. This includes:
  • Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, video
  • Mapping out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, sales goal and brand positioning
  • Developing of a functional content calendar throughout the company
  • Identifing, writing, developing and managing content required throughout the sales funnel (online and offline)
  • Conducting ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness
  • Developing and maintaining the web content including case studies, insight and press release
  • Writing text for newsletter, DEM, case studies and marketing collaterals


Skills Required

The Content Manager requires a combination marketing and publishing mindset, with the most important aspect being to think “customer first”. Specific skills required include:

  • Proven editorial skills and journalist mind-set able at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience
  • Skill at both long-form content creation and real-time (immediate) content creation and distribution strategies and tactics
  • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content
  • Leadership skills required to define and manage a set of goals involving diverse contributors and content types
  • Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines
  • Familiarity with principles of marketing
  • Technical understanding of HTML and SEO
  • Fluency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics) and paid marketing platforms
  • Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions
  • Able at measuring results and results oriented 


Experience and Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a content marketer / writer at B2B sector
  • Excellent writing skills (business writing, interactive content writing, inbound, lead generation content etc.)
  • Expertise in all major tools, business software applications and social platform (SEO, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, Linkedin, Twitter, CMS)
  • Demonstrated spoken and written fluency in English
  • Ability to conduct interviews within the company and with customers
