Digital and e-commerce Manager

 

Reporting to Head of Marketing in Italy, we are looking for a Digital and E-Commerce Manager to join our Nutrition team in Italy.

 
 
Position Overview

  • Responsible for conveying a consistent brand image that attracts customers by encouraging sales on the Web in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Regulatory, Demand & Supply, QA, Legal and OEC
  • Responsible to engage with our consumers and patients on-line to understand their needs and provide valuable solutions to improve their lives and experience with Abbott offer
  • Accountable to deliver the organization on-line sales through Amazon and other websites in line with Italian Commercial Strategy
  • Accountable for respecting and reinforcing the adherence of the marketing and overall Italian Team to the local law, Abbott Code of Conduct and Overall Policies 

 
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining the digital strategy of Abbott brands to achieve the assigned financial targets in terms of Net Sales, Margin and Market Share
  • Build a relevant on-line metrics to understand how we are performing and what it is driving our performance
  • Responsible to define, update and revise the annual on-line business (including online media) plan in synergy with the overall brand business plan
  • Maintain and further develop existing e-commerce platform as well as coordinate and implement new strategic functionalities in cooperation with internal stakeholders and eventually Third Party service providers.
  • Updating our brand’s website for new mobile or computer systems to appeal to current and future customers, identifying and implementing solutions to improve and optimize the online user journey and website experience
  • Provide analytic reports of online sales with a clear understanding of the consumer path to purchase and appropriately allocate the necessary A&P resources to reach our goals
  • Responsible to deliver the Search Engine Optimization (SEO), PPC, CMS, Social Media and email marketing
  • Collaboratively work with Marketing Team and other relevant functions to drive business performance and prioritizing assigned resources optimally
  • Interface with Sales Manager to ensure that marketing objectives and tactics analysis incorporates latest information regarding customers
  • Collaborate with Sales to maintain a sustainable balance between on-line and off-line consumer interactions
  • Develop promotional marketing materials and contents for the on-line space
  • Define the product volume forecast to reach the assigned Net Sales, Margin and Market Share objectives and, at the same time, contributing to match the Forecast Accuracy, DSO and DOH targets
  • Provide market analysis to better understand market trends and dynamics for the Italian on-line market, and consumer/shopper behavior
  • Provide consumer/patient segmentation and insights to be in the position to generate demand in a compelling and focused way within the on-line space
  • Manage all external and internal stakeholders and influencers, including but not limited Regulatory, OEC, IT, Marketing, Quality, Legal, Commercial Operations and Finance.
  • Present marketing objectives and programs to internal stakeholders
  • Responsible to engage with our consumers and patients on-line understanding their needs and providing them valuable solutions to improve their lives and experience with Abbott offer
  • Actively manage the marketing budget in line with the assigned targets
  • Able to define a compelling upstream to downstream model connection to maximize the impact on top and bottom line of our brands
  • Drive our Digital and Multichannel Strategy and Execution
  • Collaborate with Finance to define the appropriate pricing to guarantee the delivery of the on-line P&L targets
  • Establish a rigorous model to evaluate the ROI of every major initiative in the on-line space
  • Collaborate with the Area Marketing Team to leverage the best practices emerging from different countries and properly influence the Team to gain support on our initiatives
  • Drive the development of innovative, customer?insight based, end?to?end solutions to boost our on-line sales
  • Oversee and integrate Business Intelligence, Customer Insight, and New Business Development into the commercial teams
  • Identify of potential new local commercial opportunities in terms of product/brand, consumer engagement and go-to-market solutions
  • Keep complexity low
  • Drive accountability, effective decision?making and empowerment to the lowest level possible
  • Act in full coherence with the local law, ensure integration of all legal and regulatory, comply with Abbott policies and proactively respecting legal and OEC procedures

 
 
Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration/e-commerce/Data Science
  • Knowledge of Pharma Industry/OTC and Health Care Environment of at least 2 years
  • Knowledge of Mass Market Industry is considered a plus
  • Proven deep knowledge of Digital Marketing and implementing e-commerce solutions of at least 3 years
  • Deep knowledge of web design and web analytic software
  • Deep knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Knowledge of IT compliance, including data security and privacy legislation
  • Negotiation skills to build profitable, sustainable and successful long lasting partnerships
  • Curious to understand the emerging technology and how it can contribute to our success
  • High learning agility (mental, results, change and people agility as well as leadership ability)
  • Strong skills in prioritization and execution
  • Deep insight in patient and disease pathways in the Italian Healthcare system
  • Proven track record in building sustainable market share, sales and margins
  • High level of business acumen (result driven), strategic thinking and strong skills in managing complexity
  • Strong team player and networker within and outside the organization
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, leading with purpose and impact approach/shaper
  • Highly patient/ customer /stakeholder focused
  • Ability to convert analysis into insights, sustainable strategies, and actionable plans
  • Full understanding and interpretation of P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Available to take future responsibilities in Italy and abroad
  • Superior critical thinking and problem solving to achieve results despite obstacles
  • Able to sort through complex data to identify the core issues and develop a plan of action to solve them
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial in taking initiatives to achieve results
